OBJECTIVES OF THE WOODLANDS SUN CLUB

the club are to promote the advancement and encouragement of naturist recreational and social
activities - in harmony with nature. When you have tried it you will

A lot is written
about naturism - at Woodlands it is basically enjoying the fresh air and a
very pleasant place without clothes: relaxing, feeling the sun and air on
your skin with a warm wlecome. Bring your sun cream. It is really very
enjoyable and you can try it at Woodlands. If naturism is good enough
for Helen Mirren - Naturist of
the Year 2004-2005 - it is good enough for most people...
THE CLUB
A friendly naturist club for all the family, it was founded
in 1938 by the late Kathleen Hall in 12 acres of peaceful Warwickshire woodland between Birmingham
and Coventry - you will have heard of Lady Godiva. Being near the M6 and M42, Woodlands Club is
convenient for East and West Midlands.
We have sun lawns
and a kiddies' corner and you can swim in the pool, play games, from active
volleyball to more thoughtful Scrabble. You can do the odd job to maintain
the club, walk through the bluebells and wild daffodils in the woodland -
or just relax in the sun - with your sun cream! Camping and caravanning
membership is available - it is a great place to stay.
The private members'
club is run by a committee elected by the members. As the members are
careful whom they choose to join, you can be assured of a good experience
of naturism. Naturism tends to be, well, natural, but we have a good club house with fully-equipped kitchen and effective wood-burning
stove and there are good showers, toilet block and mains water and
electricity. Car parking is available within the grounds. Annual membership
fees for all these facilites are very reasonable.
CAMPING and
CARAVANNING
The club is open all
year round, with the camping season from April to October, and pitches for
tents and caravans. Tents tend to be pitched for the whole season and
members have decking bases and covers to make camping that bit more
comfortable. Again, annual and visiting pitch fees are very reasonable.
Social events are organised
all year round, with some very good cooks and organisers, and quite a few
spontaneous events take place. Events do get booked up early as they are
very popular. (Please note that we do not have a licensed bar but most
members are not tee-total!).
RECREATION
Sports facilities are as follows :- 2 Miniten
Courts, 2 Boules Courts, 1 Volleyball Court, 1 Badminton Court, 2 Table
Tennis tables and a Swimming Pool (10m x 5m). A number of members play
Scrabble, so you can usually get a game.
OFF-SITE ACTIVITIES
During both summer
and winter we take part in Regional Events. Visits are arranged with other
clubs and to swims and British Naturism
events.
